HOME ECONOMICS TRAINING SEMINAR FOR
BAR TENDING AND FLAIR TENDING

Last March 15&16 there was a training seminar for bartending and flairtending held at Saint Columban College for HRM students. It was fun and enjoying because they taught us how to mix different kinds of drinks and also how to flair.
Bartending it is the art of providing excellent service to each guest that enters the bar. A good bartender is one who is always ready to greet a guest, accommodate to their needs and serve them with the utmost respect and professionalism.
Flair bartending is the practice of bartenders entertaining guests, clientele or audiences with the manipulation of bar tools (e.g. cocktail shakers) and liquor bottles in tricky, dazzling ways. Used occasionally in cocktail bars, the action requires skills commonly associated with jugglers.

On our first day of training we are taught on how to mix different kinds of drinks. We are all amazed by the different kinds of liquor even though I don"t know them all.

In our second day of our training, we are taught on how to flair. It was hard but we can manage it, though it was very tiring and at the same time it was fun.
